Periodic Fasting Mimicking Diet

This dietary programme leads to weight loss and health benefits. It reduces abdominal fat while maintaining lean body mass, boosts cell and tissue turnover, reduces inflammation, prevents metabolic and degenerative diseases and lengthens the healthy lifespan. It involves a period of 2 to 5 days of semi-fasting, which is repeated at different intervals depending on nutritional and health-related factors.
The weekly programme consists of 5 days of semi-fasting and 2 days of a personalised diet plan. It is repeated at regular intervals, depending on the individual’s health.Relaxing and lymph-draining treatments enhance the effects and help overcome feelings of hunger. The entire programme is carried out under medical control, with daily check-ups.

Science has identified a number of diet-related mechanisms which influence our lifespan and health. A reduction of around 30% in calorie intake lengthens the lifespan of various organisms. Initial data suggests that the same process also applies to humans.
To reap the benefits of calorie reduction while avoiding the risks and inconveniences, we use techniques which mimic the effects of fasting such as the Periodic Fasting Mimicking Diet.

A fasting mimicking diet followed by a group of 100 patients 5 days a month for three months (unpublished data) revealed the following:
  1. weight loss, particularly abdominal fat
  2. increased lean body mass
  3. lower average blood glucose levels
  4. lower systolic blood pressure
  5. lower cholesterol levels
