Just a short walk from our hotel, a unique site tells a story spanning millennia: the Sanctuary of the Bronzes of San Casciano. Extraordinary Etruscan and Roman votive bronzes have emerged from the sacred waters of the Bagno Grande, bearing witness to a deep and ancient devotion.
This is the largest collection of Etruscan and Roman bronze statues ever discovered in ancient Italy—and one of the most significant in the entire Mediterranean. Created between the 2nd and 1st centuries BCE, these masterpieces reflect a time of great transformation, when the healing power of water united different cultures.
